Counter Sales Representative (Full or Part-Time)

Our team of 6 is excited to be adding a new team member to our counter sales group who is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Located on Ridge Road near Menards and Calumet High School in Gary Indiana, we offer a friendly work environment, and a positive team attitude.

Overview of the Position With 4 of our 6 team members working counter sales, there is never a dull moment in our store! You will find time flies by between talking to walk in customers and completing sales by telephone.
If you love talking shop, have automotive knowledge and would enjoy chatting with professional bodymen and hobbyists then keep reading because this job is for you! This is a part-time position is 20-25 hours per week.
There is room for advancement, this position could lead you either into a full-time position, management or to an outside sales representative position if you are ambitious and do a great job in counter sales.
While our store is open Monday through Friday 8-5 and Saturdays 9-2, your work week will be 3 days per week.
We pay weekly, offer a 3% match through a simple IRA, paid vacation , 6 paid holidays and offer a volunteer supplemental (Aflac) insurance plan.
Job Duties Job duties are as follows but not limited to:
Assisting customers via phone and in person, pulling orders and invoicing them accordingly Assist with ordering parts from supply vendors Stocking merchandise, organizing products Ensure accuracy of inventory Unloading arrived inventory as shipments are received Job Requirements Some basic automotive knowledge and a curiosity for learning more Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 75 pounds on a routine basis A desire to engage in professional conversation with customers Must have good computer skills and have the ability to learn our parts software management system Must be available to work Saturdays Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation to and from work place Job Type:
