Walmart Connect is seeking an experienced leader in Advanced Analytics & Research.
In this role, you will lead a large, high-performing team of advanced analytics professionals and bring the analytical rigor required to solve complex and ambiguous business challenges to drive advertiser growth and engagement.
You and your team will work cross-functionally with senior leaders from Product, Sales, Client Services, Engineering, Design, and Marketing teams to create insights to understand media performance, optimize return for advertisers, and generate incremental investment.
The individual needs to be analytical and solution-driven with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels and divisions of an organization.
The candidate will need to develop an insights delivery strategy and operating model to lead an organization that is responsible for delivering advanced analytics at scale (for thousands of advertisers).
The Head of Advanced Analytics & Research will also establish Walmart Connect's identity as a measurement and research leader internally and externally (through speaking events, industry committees, and press opportunities).
And is passionate about holistic measurement and audience insights in driving business growth.
Ultimately, we are looking for someone who is an expert in retail media measurement, analytics, and research and who can be both a consultative strategist and an operator (with a focus on execution) in leading change and innovation as Walmart Connect continues to evolve.
Key Duties &
Responsibilities:
Design and implement the insights and service strategy for the next generation of advanced analytics to enable advertiser growth across multi-channel commerce and marketing.
Directly manage leaders (of leaders) and oversee relevant analytics and research teams across Walmart Connect.
Utilize expertise in retail media analytics (ex:
basket analysis, consumer behavioral insights from purchase data, etc.
) to combine media analysis with retail analytics to derive actionable insights that will help brands sell and advertise more efficiently.
Drive innovation in customer and campaign measurement.
Orchestrate productization of high-impact solutions in partnership with Product and Engineering to achieve scalability.
Influence and support Product & Engineering to define and deliver a holistic measurement strategy to ensure Walmart Connect becomes an industry leader in this space.
In partnership with Sales, design and then execute and deliver annual JBP (joint business partner) analytics and research benefits to support Walmart Connect's contract value and offer compelling solutions to service those advertisers at scale.
Represent Walmart Connect's research & measurement capabilities and results externally, directly to clients and at industry events (in conjunction with Sales).
Establish trusted relationships with Product, Sales, Client Services, Engineering, Design, and Marketing leaders to guide insights & analytics strategy and prioritization of initiatives.
Apply experience in quantitative analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling to deliver impactful, objective, and actionable data insights that enable business and product decisions.
Conduct competitor research & market intelligence and develop insights on products & capabilities that are brought to market.
Take big, technical, data, and analytic concepts and communicate them in elegant, simple, and compelling ways In partnership with Product, understand market trends, keep revenue organization informed of these trends, and identify opportunities based on learnings, collaborating with teams to execute.
Lead change management in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; support complex business operations and drive efficiencies through process improvements and automation.
Preferred Qualifications Specialties:
measurement strategy, measurement science, quantitative and qualitative research, econometric modeling and media mix optimization (MMM, MTA, Attribution, Incrementality Advanced Analytics), growth and performance analytics, audience insights, consumer journey & segmentation, consumer thought-leadership, data innovation, commercial productization.
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field.
15-20 years of experience in online media, customer insights, marketing measurement and advanced analytics.
Ability to lead a large team through periods of rapid growth and ambiguity.
Extensive knowledge of marketing measurement approaches, i.
e.
, econometric modeling, digital multi-touch attribution, media mix modeling, experimental A / B testing and predictive modeling; able to advise when and how to best leverage those approaches.
Extensive knowledge of diverse customer data such as 1st party transactional, clickstream, survey, demographic, 3rd party enrichment, attitudinal and behavioral, product taxonomy.
Experience with developing customer value and loyalty frameworks such as lifecycle management, customer lifetime value, customer journey mapping, loyalty scoring, etc.
High emotional quotient (EQ); encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm, motivate strategic thinking, and ensure insightful problem solving.
Able to think and act creatively, championing and promoting new ideas that contribute to the goals of the organization and the department.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple ongoing projects, responsibilities, and relationships.
Strong understanding of advertising technology and data / performance measurement trends.
Excellent written / verbal communication skills; polished and professional demeanor.

Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 6 years' experience in an analytics related field.
Option 3:
10 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
4 years' supervisory experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
