Arrange and maintain Director's calendar of appointment; follow up to insure that all appointments are kept.
Assist Human Resource Manager with job fairs and union projected.
Prepare simple reports, letters and records; follow up on activities and meetings initiated by supervisor; identify matter requiring the supervisor's attention; Receive and screen visitor, telephone calls, determining the identity of each person calling and the nature of the call; answer routine calls directly, keeping supervisor advised of actions.
Responsible for issuing employee ID Badges to all current employees.
Schedule Personnel Committee Grievance Hearings, Accident Review meetings, and Union Meetings.
Interpret rules, regulations, and policies in accordance with established policy and procedure.
Process employee verification for new, current and former employees; Prepares and maintains personnel records and files in an organized manner and in accordance with established guidelines and federal record-keeping requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS Education equivalent to that of a high school diploma, including or supplemented by secretarial training and at least two years of previous experience as an Administrative Assistant.
Ability to prepare effective correspondence on routine matters and to perform office procedures without referral to a supervisor.
Ability to keep complex clerical records and to prepare accurate reports from routine arithmetic and/or accounting information.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
