Job Description:
Our Gary Works facility, located in Northwest Indiana has an immediate opening for a Shift Manager to handle various aspects of primary operations and to supervise and lead a team of unionized operation crews. This opening is within our Iron Producing Operation.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Administration of the U. S. Steel safety program to ensure a safe work environment, including proper housekeeping
Application of engineering principles and problem solving techniques to evaluate and resolve operating issues to maximize efficiencies
Use technical knowledge, equipment documentation, safety procedures to produce iron.
Coordinate production of manufacturing with production staff
Directly supervise union production staff, and work closely with vendors and contractors as necessary
Ensure environmental compliance
Other administrative activities may include scheduling/paying crews, completing production reports, and other reporting as necessary.
Requirements:
High school diploma/GED required. A Bachelors Degree in Engineering discipline is preferred or equivalent years of demonstrated knowledge in a heavy industrial environment
Minimum 2 years of experience working in an industrial environment
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
Experience in heavy manufacturing with an overall knowledge of iron producing preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
