Shipping & Receiving Clerk - Temporary

We are looking for people with premium-brand retail store experience who are ready to take on the responsibility of a Temporary Shipping & Receiving Clerk for one of our premier campus bookstores. You will assist the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager to ensure all daily operations are consistent with our book-selling culture, superior customer-service focus, digital initiatives, operation and merchandise standards. You will have strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and a growing knowledge of merchandise in all departments. You will take full department oversight responsibility in the absence of your immediate supervisor. You help support the store by helping booksellers drive sales to create customer experiences that enhance bookstore loyalty. This role involves verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, physically packing and unpacking merchandise, ensuring accurate computer entries to record receipts and initiate timely payments to vendors.
Qualifications:
You should have at least one year of experience, preferably in retail. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills. The role requires physical activity, including sitting, standing, lifting and bending. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
